Code Blue Alert for Salt Lake County

On January 10th, the Utah Department of Health and Human Services issued a Code Blue alert for Salt Lake County, expected to last from January 10th to January 12th.

This alert means that temperatures in the County are expected to drop to 15 degrees for 2 hours or more during a 24-hour period. It also gives shelters in the area more flexibility to shield people who are experiencing homelessness from the cold.

Pictured are a list of Shelters open tonight that are providing additional space, as well as information on volunteering to assist with the increased shelter capacity.
